It's definitely a little anticlimactic and unsatisfying, but I think the way it makes sense is timing. The defenders didn't get to choose the timing, Mordor attacked, and they just had to hold out as long as they could. Every life given bought a little more time, which eventually meant Aragorn and his ghost buddies were still saving a city when they arrived instead of taking back a pile of rubble

I found myself owing the IRS 18k last year. What I did was hop on a payment plan. They let you choose the amount you'll pay, so you can pick something manageable. Toss any bonuses and extra cash towards paying it off. You'll accrue interest on the outstanding balance, but it's a small amount to pay and is not capitalized.

You may also want to head over to r/whitecoatinvestor, which is a better forum for people with high incomes who are trying to work through financial questions.

depending on where you live in mt vernon your apartment/house may come with alley parking! otherwise there are a lot of garages around, and street parking can get tough but is never completely impossible (saying this as someone who's used to NYC parking, so only having to walk a block or two is an unfathomable luxury)

As the last two posters have said, the thermocouple seems to have gone bad. Even cleaning it won’t work. It’s a relatively inexpensive part. I’ve replaced mine on my water heater and also my furnace. Pretty simple repair to do on your own.

What I did is searched Amazon for water heater thermocouple and found one that matched what I had. There are a couple different types. Try including the water brand and model in your search. Such as “Rheem MODEL water heater thermocouple”

>Would you give a second chance to a person who betrayed your trust?

No.

>Have you ever done it?

No.

>Should it be done under a certain circumstance? Even if this person shows remorse?

Well you definitely shouldn't do it if they don't show remorse. But if they do it's up to you to decide whether or not to give them a second chance. There's no objectively correct answer.

Personally, in your situation I would not advise you to do so. Take it from someone more than twice your age, you're still very young, not even a fully-legal adult yet, and you just met her a month ago (I know it feels like "a lot", but that's due to your youth and comparative inexperience). You don't need this. Be glad you saw her true side this early, and cut your losses and move on with your life.
