Then theres no reason change anything. The point is to get rid of tipping all together. Similar to other countries. If you are paid a fair hourly wage I cant see any reason to tip you.

Raising the tipped minimum wage does not mean people stop tipping. It just means a higher base wage for the waiter at those places currently paying $6.38/hour.
Tipping will not “go away because people will not be able to afford it.” Some establishments already choose to pay the full $14/hour as they realize waiters have side jobs and properly compensate for them. There’s no difference in the tipping percentage.

Equalizing the minimum wage hasn’t impacted tip culture in any other state.

Yeah. Because people keep donating to them via charity aka tipping.
Folks realize it's kind of a shitty job, not a career. Can't be replaced by robots soon enough IMO.

I just wrote about this on another post. I refuse to swerve into a utility pole or hit a parked car because of these idiots. I stay in my lane, slow or stop, and lean on the horn.

Get takeout or cook at home, your choice. Dining in…anywhere in the US…means you tip.

Just like defensive driving, there is offensive driving. Some people take advantage of those who really don't want to get into an accident. What are you doing to do if they take up your lane, hit em? They know you'll just stop.

Well they're making more than minimum wage currently, and there's a labor shortage which means nobody wants to do that job, so the laws of supply and demand say you're wrong

I learned to drive in NYC, and have seen some incredibly hostile and reckless driving, but there’s something so consistently senseless about this move.

These asshats think that if their lane is blocked, they now deserve half of the remaining surface. They just assume you will slide over in your newly reduced pathway. There's no blaming this on RI, MA, or NY drivers either. It's all on CT and three drivers from NJ.

Perhaps. CSP did not make many traffic stops during COVID.

Growing up in other parts of CT I’m very glad the only highway I experience in regularity is 395. It feels like what you describe, but I swear 295 in RI the people ARE all angry and stressed

Not my first choice. I'd print it on paper. Why would you want to give your photo to a cop while it was unlocked? He or she could look through it and find something else to charge you with.
If you have the paper copy and you have the police report where you reported it stolen, so long as you are only stopped for a traffic violation, you should be fine.

U should be good. Few months back i got into an accident. I had left my wallet at home, i told the officer and showed the picture of my license. He quickly noted that id number and i was good. So ur id number is enough for the officer to pull up everything about ur license

If they eliminate tipping they'll have to pay an equivalent salary or lose everyone which means you're paying the same anyway.
Idc if it's a career I know I wouldn't wait tables for minimum wage that's for sure
