I’ve lived in Fairfield county my whole life and I have to disagree with you there homie. During the day it can be fun because you get to look at a bunch of beautiful homes, but at night it’s really pretty lack luster.

It’s time for more education and less complacency.
If someone you know talks ‘racism light’ - you know them- the “I’m just saying” or ‘telling it like it is’ people, shut them down. You know who they are at parties, at church, in your family. The time for tolerating bullies is over.

I teach a split level position in lower elementary. I think I found my sweet spot because 6-8 year olds don't disrespect and if they do, a quick glare will do the job. I've taught upper elementary before and I will never be back to it.
That being said, staff shortages are killing us. I have SPED kids who are barely getting hours. The school is k-8 with 1 SPED teacher. I have kids who are exhibiting Emotional Disturbance and ADD and I can't convince anyone to stop suggesting ways to deal with it (incentives that 5 days later turn into weapons) and get them tested. These children need behavior techs, documentations, labels, and paras. I cant keep giving up 4 preps a week on having a meeting about the same 3 children doing the same things. And if I don't, I get the "why didn't you do anything about it last year." I tried and no one listened.

It's down 4% this morning alone.
We're in bank run territory right now which means recessionary backdrop will keep it lower than last year, despite the ongoing pillaging of Ukraine.

And 154 is a nice ride also.
But at night there really isn't much to see........

Antisemitism is unfortunately prevalent in both party's. This is not a political matter IMO. (See MTG on one end and your Rashida Talibs and Ilhan Omars on the other)
