The mv mill rate is capped at 32 throughout CT. The lower property value towns choose to tax motor vehicles at that maximum rate.

Wealthier towns with a low real estate mill rate simply set the auto rate the same as their real estate resulting in a low mv tax bill.

Greenwich has an 11 mill rate. Their entire net taxable grandlist for the town is over 34 billion. The towns budget needs are roughly 400,000,000. Or roughly $6,500 per capita.

Meanwhile Bridgeport has a mill rate of 43.45. Their entire net taxable grandlist is 6.4 billion. Town budget is roughly 347,000,000. Or $2,300 per capita.

Tax payers in Greenwich are still paying much more in taxes per person, but their effective tax rate is lower because their property values are so high in relation to the towns budgetary needs. The IMPACT of the higher taxes however is much lower in Greenwich.

If you take the mill rate of a town divided by 70% you can quickly see their effective tax rate. Which shows that Greenwich is around 1.5% while bridgeports is around 3% depending on how you cut it.

You might want to change your title to reflect that it's wasps and hornets. Not many people are going to try to help you get rid of bees. These are too precious and they're two endangered at the moment for anybody to help you get rid of them.

Maybe take pictures of the pest and question. That way we can make sure that they are indeed pests and not something like a bee or honey bee or bumblebee.

My son just turned 4 in the greater Danbury area. Our party was at EverWonder Children’s Museum in Newtown. We also looked at Stew Leonard’s - they do pizza and cupcake parties where you make your own. Brookfield YMCA does pool parties, as does the Newtown Community Center.

In May, you can always head outside. There’s Muscoot Farm in Katonah and Silverman’s in Easton. Silverman’s has quite a lot - a big petting zoo, a little playground, a trolley ride on weekends, fruit picking if in season…

There’s a place up your way called Got Your Goat or something - goat parties! I considered if but March is a bit chilly for a farm party.

I’m from New Haven and really have never been a big fan of Pepe’s either! I guess it’s just not to my personal taste or preferences. I mean I wouldn’t turn it down and it’s still pretty good pizza but Zuppardi’s is where it’s at and I’ll die on that hill.

I’m a super basic pizza eater too so idgaf about any specialities and toppings. Just gimme a large cheese with light sauce and I couldn’t be happier (sometimes I’ll even add 1/3 pepperoni if I’m feeling dangerous).
