I take the train from Bridgeport to NYC a lot. It's just under $15 for off peak and just under $20 for on peak (week days only).

It's $8 from Hartford to New Haven. I just went for 90's Con earlier this month.

Don’t worry, it had gone way down hill for years. Quality and service were very bad since beginning of Covid anyway.

Once the Whale left, I stopped following the NHL. Besides the Bruins and Rangers didn't want there to be a team in Hartford. They wanted that market share.

I've made dumplings, but it gets so damned tiring to always have to 'make' what other people can just go into a fucking restaurant and just fucking order, and eat. Onions and the family are in EVERY FUCKING THING. In the coating on fucking french fries. In the spaghetti sauce in the lasagna. In the spice they sprinkle on every freaking Nardelli sub. I can't eat at any place without making a special order. and you know? It gets tiring after a while. like, peanuts? fine. Keep out of Thai restaurant. You can't do that with an allium allergy. Just once I'd love to order in a restaurant, and not have to ask the waiter 'Does it have onions in it?" and he has to say, let me check. And then I have to say, if it does, can I have that instead?

Eh, sorry to be a downer, but I won’t lament the closing of a seafood restaurant. We’re destroying the ocean, leaving nets and lines and debris, trawling, hauling in bycatch. We’ll look back 50 years from now hopefully with a little shame when seafood becomes so rare due to overfishing.
