I was in an old Porsche (944 so nothing too fancy), and a cop pulled me over because of the no front plate but was nice and just gave me a warning. I ignored it and almost 20 years later the car still has no front plate. At the time my dad figured it was maybe a cop who suspected the car had been stolen, because I was coming from Fairfield in a Porsche, but who the heck knows. Pretty sure cops in Fairfield used to hang out by the Bridgeport border and go out of their way to pull over people of color who had just entered the town (Fairfield). This was something someone told me a long time ago. I’m white if it matters (probably mattered in the traffic stop)

I believe Texas is one of the loophole states where you can get temporary plates online. People use it to get around CT's ridiculous DMV prices.

We can go on the website perfectly fine, we can pay the bill online with no problem but when we go to access our bill the document does not pull up and instead a blank page appears stating “sorry we expected an unexpected error” - this is happening on our cell phones with data and laptops with WiFi so not a browser issue

I’ve long held a theory that if you were able to combine Hartford & New Haven you’d get one of the best smaller cities in the country. Hartford brings state government, large companies/jobs, Trinity College and good hospitals. New Haven brings Yale, museums, culture, music venues more jobs in different industries and great food.

Alas, they’re 30 miles apart.

I mean, when I got really sick and a permanent disability diagnosis all those taxes helped a lot. Same thing with the husky D coverage. I’d probably be homeless in a wheelchair if I lived in a couple southern states. CT really took care of me when i got sick.
