Sounds like you haven't taken up skiing or snowboarding yet. It's the ultimate way to make you anticipate and appreciate cold days.

I don't hate it as much as you, but damn that humidity makes me an instant sweat box! Not many places in the world that have dry heat summers though, compared to humid continental

Complains about nobody caring, but then takes the time to respond. Brilliant.

Haha you feeling that seasonal depression after yesterday's cold reminder? I'm in the same boat but the way my brain works is I don't realize how much the cold/lack of light really have effected me until it's over.
That being said yesterday was one of the worst type of spring days to me. Just when you think we're over the truly chilly threshold

Same. We go to some pretty dinky ski hills (Mohawk etc) most weekends from December to February.
And even those improve my mood tremendously.

Give it time. Once municipalities realize this is just a business like any other, I'm sure we'll see a reversal on moratoriums in many communities.
I wish some of these leaders would take a trip north to Great Barrington to see how this industry has reinvigorated development. I mean downtown GB has always been pretty vibrant, but the north side was plagued with a bunch of vacant commercial units for many years. Now there a bunch of upscale businesses (some cannabis-related, some not) that have opened shop, and the commercial district is always humming now.

The cloudiness bothered me more then the cold. Northern VA is pretty liberal, if you need suggestions. And much sunnier, even in the winter.

Exactly, it's also illegal to drink more than a drink or two and drive, yet huge portions of the population do it. It's also technically illegal to smoke and drive yet there's people who do it every single day. People gonna people.
