I have horrible teeth (thanks, mom) and a lot of dental trauma and anxiety. I’ve been seeing Dr. Tagliarini at Comprehensive Dental Health in New Haven for at least 10 years, and would recommend to anyone with dental anxiety. He is very gentle and understanding. Crystal and Des are the people to work with at the front desk. I do think he could’ve been more proactive with preventative care. I have had a few failed root canals and I don’t know if it’s just my crappy teeth or if maybe I should’ve gone to a specialist. But overall I’ve had positive experiences. The office recently merged with a larger group and I can’t speak to the quality of the other dentists, and I see some negative reviews online, so ymmv.

The only options I know of are to go to Chinatown in Flushing for the real authentic dim sum, or White Plains for gentrified pricey ass dim sum.

I am listening to what you're saying. And there is a way to prove it, if it's actually happening. If they have no proof that that's what the issue is, then they don't know that it's actually happening. The fact that it's difficult to prove doesn't mean that it is or isn't happening. It's simply means it is difficult to prove. Again, a good employment lawyer can take the facts and dig out the truth if the truth is there to be found because that is literally the job of a lawyer. So yes I am listening to you, now you need to listen to me - hook them up with the good employment attorney.

It’s like Groundhog Day in some places out west and it freaks me out. Oh okay it’s calm and sunny today, nice! But then it is again the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day… found out quickly after moving away from the east coast that i need variety!

See, I know you weren't actually hearing me because you're telling me to have them do exactly what they're already doing.

>those other companies need to be set straight if they are in fact engaging in that discriminatory practice.

Again, zero way to prove this is happening, but everyone knows it's happening.

People think my husband and I are crazy for moving back to the east coast. We’re originally from NJ and moved out to Bend Oregon 2 years ago. We miss the east coast waaay more than we expected to and are moving back to CT in April and we can’t wait.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful place and the hiking and outdoor activity possibilities are endless. But that’s not everything in life, for us anyway. I don’t get people out here. Not nearly sarcastic enough for me lol. I miss family, good food, being around different cultures, being around people who aren’t just completely dumbfounded when trying to pronounce my Italian name, the beaches, being able to go to NYC and Philly, old buildings and a sense of history… the list of things I miss is long!

And I'm telling you your best bet is to tell them to apply for any job that they see for which they believe they are qualified. If one of those jobs happens to be with my organization, they're going to have no issues about getting the job simply because they have an arrest record. For your part as their attorney, direct them to an employment law attorney who can help them fight the jobs they are in getting simply because of an arrest record. As a criminal defense lawyer you're unlikely in a position to be able to help them with defending their legal rights, but an employment law attorney can do so. So direct them to them because those other companies need to be set straight if they are in fact engaging in that discriminatory practice.

Yeah, nice try. Your attempt at his anger there is falling just about as flat as your argument has. Like I said, an international organization with 200,000 employees. Every one of our jobs is publicly posted on multiple job boards. If you have clients that are looking for a job, have them apply for any job they see that they think they're a fit for and despite your desire to have people discriminate against them for having an arrest record, we'll actually treat them fairly. think I made my point. Have a great day.

You’re not alone.

I love it here summer - fall. Being outside sucks Nov-April sometimes even May - oh yeah and cost of living is expensive here. I’m just not happy cramming all my favorite outdoor activities into a measly 3 months - I love outdoors.

I do enjoy skiing, but I don’t waste my time skiing the east coast bc west coast / mountain west is so much better. The winter here is unredeeming in the sense that I can’t do any of my favorite winter activities here. Examples: lucky if you get 1 day of pond hockey during winter, we get little snowfall so there’s not many east coast pow ski days (and when we do-a bad day on a west coast mountain is almost always better than a great day on east coast), if you want to snowshoe you have to wait for snow, which this year hardly even came.

It’s cold and boring for majority of the year sans summer and early autumn.

Also, I am moving to South Florida this year (queue the haters). Parents staying so I can see my fav seasons in CT without the bad.

Okay, PM me your firm's info so I can send all my clients to you when they can't get calls back from all the applications they send out.

I literally never said, implied, or suggested I am an expert in employment law. I've told you about the real issues my clients face with this, and you're basically telling me "nah, can't happen." So let me send them to you.
