Walking out to the big rock at Popham at low tide is lovely with nice views, but dogs aren't allowed on the beach after today and Reid State Park is closed for construction. If you want to go a bit further, you can go up route 1 to Camden Hills State Park and climb up the Megunticook Trail to Ocean look out- a beautiful view on a huge rock ledge overlooking the ocean. Or you can drive up to the top of Mt. Battie- same beautiful views. Pick a clear day. Dogs are allowed. Camden is a cute town.

I lived in Brunswick- too populated. Moved to Gray- much better. Charming, it still a little cityish. Moved to Baldwin and I friggin love it! Areas of Baldwin can have close neighbors but I live on a road with no neighbors that can be seen or heard. Usually wildlife stuff is my action for the day now. I know Irma not as rural as northern Maine, but compared to what I’ve seen so far- I’ll take it every day

My husband actually moved up here to be with me- he makes good money- we are within 45 minutes of the Lewiston auburn area - about 45 minutes to the Portland area - so it’s close enough to amenities- and we live in a priority area on the grid so we don’t go down for more then 5-10 minutes. We have spectrum and his work provided him a back up hotspot just incase something happens. He makes over 100k a year- but we wouldn’t of bought our house in the area we did if the options were shitty dsl or starlink. Having grown up here I was able to find a home for us that made sure we could access stuff & he could have good enough internet-
