I lived in NJ until 2000. I worked for Pathmark for 23 years at various locations! When I moved to PA, there was one in Walnutport PA. It's a shame that they went out of business.

As much as you may not like it, the football team brings in way more money than it costs. Alumni network is strong in large part because of football and other sports, thats not the problem. Penn State is a land grant University, so that means non-profit. When costs go up and revenues do not, something has to be done. Yes, they probably have top heavy people who make a lot more than the average worker, so they can be slashed a bit. Another thing to keep in mind is college enrollment is declining because we simply don't have as many young people between 18-24. The infrastructure of the school was built and people hired to handle a full University. Also keeping in mind, they have almost 15 branch campuses to fund. Most of workers laid will probably get back in one way or another.

Yup. Southeast PA here. The birds come inland and make it to my area in late winter early spring.

As a normal guy who hasn't owned property but has floated through a handful of jobs, I'm sure I've lost final checks or cashing out 401k. Is this something I can use to check that?

Less crime? You sure about that?
There's maybe less reported crime. But not less crime.
If you include all the murders the state police refuse to call murders, the violent crime per caps in huntingdon, Bedford, and somerset counties is higher than in Philly.
But a dead drug dealer is not considered a murder there. Unfortunately

On a sedan or coupe (determined by registration), rear and all side windows must ADMIT 70% of available light. No tint is allowed below the "AS1" line on the windshield. Most models come from the factory with this level of tint. Unscrupulous or misinformed installers will insist you are allowed to BLOCK 70%. This is not true. The tint level is NOT part of the state inspection procedure, thus may or may not pass, according to the whim of the mechanic, who is only required to make sure the windows are not "obstructed". Police with a measuring device "tint meter" may check this and cite accordingly. On a registered truck or station wagon (vans, suv), windows behind the driver's door are permitted any level of tint. Driver and front passenger doors must follow the 70% rule.
