I grew up in the conservative fundamentalist evangelical culture. This is exactly why this man ran for a school board position. I can almost guarantee his children and his church members’ children don’t attend the public school. Their children are most likely homeschooled or attend a private Christian school. The pastor is only on the board to project his morality on the rest of society.

There's a good chance they ran for school board precisely to do this kind of stuff.

There's been a concerted effort in the past few years for right-wing culture warriors to take over school boards. They're local races that people mostly don't care about for jobs that no one really wants to do, so it's easy for them to get on the ballot and win.

When someone can’t separate their personal religious beliefs from their responsibilities as a public servant, you have situations like this ban on The Addams Family musical. The people of the board president’s voting district need to vote the Evangelical pastor off the school board. People have every right to have their religious convictions, but don’t force them on the public.

Sorry, you're right. Penn state actually gets less money from the state than it did in 2008.

But sure. Let's say you have to spend less before the state properly funds a fucking state university.

This is the bullshit reason penn state is so expensive. Cuts to funding or general decrease in funding per student but then blatantly false allegations of overpaid administrators.

Bendapudi isn't making a million a year.
Buildings are necessary.
Professors are underpaid and penn state relies heavily on graduate and temporary professors because the state isn't funding it.

If, in a per student basis, Pennsylvania gave as much adjusted for inflation as it did in the 70s, tuition would be like 5k

another spoiler alert: most of the admins at that level are Republicans lol

edit to add: your statement is also blatantly false, which is easily confirmed through a quick search. PSU has a thing called Advocate Day where students go to Harrisburg and talk to the PA representatives & senators to essentially ask for more money. I attended more than once. PSU definitely gets enough money from the state, and until the administration actually shows they are spending the money in the direct interest of students, I don't think we should line their pockets with more taxpayer money..

I don't think it was required at all for active duty out of state, and only PA would enforce it if you had the vehicle back home.

I think my stickers were still valid when I was in SC and NY states but they definitely expired at some point when I was in CA and WA.. was never an issue.
