This is exactly what we need to transition to those power sources- the article doesn’t explain how this plant works so I think there’s a lot of confusion on what this plant exactly does. This plant is basically a huge battery- by using excess electricity on the grid to pump water into this reservoir it can release water to power it’s turbines when demand exceeds supply. With solar and wind energy storage solutions like this are absolutely necessary and are basically the best option that we currently have.

This is all weird and dumb, especially the way that some people are trying to make Giselle Fetterman out to be some kind of malevolent, conniving, modern-Day Pennsylvanian Lady McBeth. If the man is being treated for something as painful and difficult as depression, I would expect him to want and keep his privacy.

Some people are so bored of their lives and have such deranged views of the world that they seem to think that seem to need to believe that we're living in some unproduced Alan J. Pakula script from the seventies.

Yeah, I think going to vegan-focused events was a bad idea. Pet-related events would be a much better idea because most pet owners understand livestock animals can be treated well (not that most of them are).

Of course, most pet-owning vegans don't admit how hypocritical they are or that their beloved PETA wants to eradicate pets.

If we do as planned . Get rid of every gas stove and every home heater and water heater and convert to all electric and convert our cars to full electric , after they put up panels on every roof top in NYC . After Covered every green spot in NYC with solar panels they would still need to cut down every tree and cover ever blade of grass and raise every house in Pennsylvania just to power New York CITY ONLY .alone .. If we covered Pennsylvania in glass not a single watt would be used by Pennsylvania

Also worth noting the Seneca Nation had 1500 acres in northern PA up until the 1960s, but then it was flooded when the Kinzua Dam was built. Also still in the area, but that was when the last tribal land in the commonwealth was taken. Honestly I wish I knew how to change that, should I try to do something locally or take it up with my state rep? https://pahistoricpreservation.com/cornplanter-grant-native-american/

I mean it’s vegan focused events. That population will have a higher % of PETA/(name your extremist animal rights group here) supporters. Their intent is to destroy animal agriculture. As someone who works in agriculture I would not support these events anyway but most times like this it’s the extremists who look bad and not the farmer trying to do good.
