Oh cool I didn’t know we had an Anytime Fitness, I’ll have to check that out.

This is going to sound weird but depending on what you're looking for check out Beta Climbing gym. They have a pretty solid setup for a non regular gym....full racks, benches, bars, and and cardio machines but no weight machines. As everyone is there to climb, it's pretty under used. Google has some photos so you can check it out.

that whole plaza basically died... there used to be apartments near there that sunk into the ground because they were not built on bedrock... there was a le pain quotiden that closed down, fairway market closed down, there used to be a good bbq place there that closed down.
basically that area went downhill I think

Gym situation in Stamford is terrible if you’re not looking for a crowd.
If you’re a novice and not looking to invest too much in a gym I’d recommend Planet Fitness. Just go, keep your head down, and get to work.
And LA Fitness in Stamford is AWFUL. Dirty, crowded, and very poor gym etiquette.
Source: Just joined LA from Chelsea Piers. Worst mistake ever. If you can afford it, Chelsea Piers is worth the money.

There's an Anytime Fitness on High Ridge that I haven't pulled the trigger on going to, but it's a small franchise that from reviews seems to be well run and quiet. It's 24 hours.

It’s more common in CT that landlords pay realtors commissions, not renters. If they’re doing it anyway, it’s at no cost to me to work with realtors. Some take commissions from renters equal to one month’s rent but they’re up front about it on their websites. It’s a good way for me to make connections with someone as well when we decide where to buy a home in the next 2-3 years.

You absolutely do not need an agent for rentals in Stamford. Save money and see places yourself.

Stamford or Darien YMCA or the JCC are good options too

Underground Fitness is big but not as big as LAF or The Edge. Still gets crowded like commercial gyms do at peak times though.
There’s a Crunch Fitness near the Costco in Norwalk that may be more your vibe (and mine, honestly) but i95 traffic makes it miserable to get there after work, so I don’t go there.
There’s a bunch of small class-oriented gyms like Carozza Fitness and F45.

Agent here, I now mainly refer clients to local agents who I’ve been able to vet over the past 6 years, mainly in Stamford. I’d be happy to evaluate exactly what type of place you’re looking for and current understanding of the market to match you with a strong agent who I know will get the job done for you.

Yep, the chick effed up my hair. Asked for a fade, and she cut straight up up up. The sides were faded up 2 inches higher than I expected. Soufi himself is solid though.

I don’t know if it is the most common thing but definitely out there. We found one when we were moving here but she wasn’t very present. However, someone we met had a more positive experience. They can be helpful and view places for you when you can’t or pull from their own pool of rentals.

I hope someone knows more than me, but I've only interacted with a realtor who represented the landlord, not the person looking for a place.
