Same! After being out of college and working for years, I’ve been wanting hop back into a classroom to learn something. Learning on YouTube doesn’t quite feel the same as having an instructor there to guide you.
Hoping to hear if anyone had experience taking classes locally. I saw Stamford Public School’s Office of Adult and Continuing Education (stamfordadulted.org) offered various classes. I wonder if those classes are worth a try.

and I've been looking at the schedule to go to Hudson Table down in harbor point for a cooking class. It looks a little pricey but I guess I didn't imagine it being cheap

I would also like to know of these sorts of things. When I was a kid I feel like there was unlimited services for learning the piano, singing lessons, cooking, recreational sports, and etc. Maybe they exist for adults but idk where.

We know someone who knows the chef and he sounds like such a nice guy, and I hear he keeps a very clean kitchen/runs a tight ship. We haven't made it out yet but I'm glad you posted this! It's reminded me to get out there.

It’s a huge space. if breaking the space into 2 or 3 they could try to bring other stores like:
- floor & decor (or other similars)
- Best Buy
- Apple
- Century 21 … Or in an opposite direction there could be an idea of bringing an IKEA (I assume space isn’t enough for an IKEA, so they would need to take over some next door spaces, like the party city).

100% agree about WFH folks looking for options closer than downtown. Totally down for all the amazing food options you mentioned too, I think Ridgeway needs to put you in charge ASAP.

I know right! With so many people working from home now in the north part of Stamford the lunch options that we do have up here are really cramped. Table 104 is always getting swarmed. And the plaza that has the Chop’d salad and Taco Project It’s already a car’s nightmare because it has to share all the parking space attention of Orangetheory Trader Joe’s the nail place, Cobb’s bread. (Obviously the parking is terrible at Ridgeway too and is always a video game). The Fed food truck at The Wagon Wheel plaza gets its fair share of action too. I guess what I’m saying is I think there are enough people who would want to eat lunch and dinner at a food hall, but wouldn’t necessarily want to go “all the way downtown.”
But a place with lots of options in one spot that wasn’t necessarily table, service and more like order at the counter stalls would be incredible!
Things like assorted spicy dumplings, some varieties of NoLa chicken sandwiches, interesting Hawaiian poké bowls, anything w kimche on it, interesting Arepas, lobster rolls, Pho/noodle soups options etc. I mostly thought of it, because the Bed Bath and Beyond space has really high ceilings! I’m sure there would need to be a pretty big build out to have the right type of ventilation for all these delicious stalls, but in a perfect world it could totally happen.

Yeah I just googled and saw photos of Ashley right above the AT&T store where Modells used to be. The BBB space mystery continues!

An Ulta makeup store? They seem to be taking spaces around the state in older style “plazas.”

Maybe a food hall? Like with lots of different stalls and mini restaurant options…. That would be fun.

That might be too big even for them. And in the same plaza as Party city? Though with the old EMS finally under construction they may not have a choice.

I’ve seen a bunch of Ashley Furniture hiring signs around Ridgeway. I haven’t heard of them moving anywhere else in Stamford, so I wonder if they’re moving in there!
