sorry i keep thinking of stuff. They used to have a transportation tracker in the lobby that showed train and bus times. They stopped paying the bill and a message that said as much appeared on the screen. It has been replaced with a screen saver even though we were told months ago that the transportation tracker would be back. Lots of little things that have added up to a lack of trust.

They have lost personal documents, not answered emails, made it clear it’s not their job to resolve quality of life issues. Garage door, back door and shuttle to the train often broken. Took away tons of parking spaces so a lot harder to find a spot and even harder if you don’t want your car to be covered in pigeon shit. No hand sanitizer in the lobby. Big parties in common area that security has no idea about. The email that went out yesterday even seemed to give the name of someone possibly getting evicted. There was no apology in the correction email. Increased rent a lot with no notice that we would be losing access to amenity spaces for the foreseeable future. We need to continue to pay amenity fees with no opt -out option. A big perk of the building is everything being right there but the alternatives are not close. The old management was top notch but the new people in the office lack experience and customer service skills.

BLT is a fucking piece of shit. Horrible quality construction and even worse management. I could write a book on how disastrous my experience was during the year I was there.

Some of the people who work there are nice, such as the front desk staff and maintenance, but the management/leasing office is atrocious. I hate that they have such a massive presence in Stamford...

Glad we dodged it. We had been considering Summer House when we moved during the summer, but got some... off vibes from it.

We should make a list of all the crappy management companies for people to avoid in Stamford. BLT who developed Harbor Point have a horrible reputation, as does the Residences on Bedford management.

I'm currently renting from MarLo Associates who own a lot of Bedford St and they have been absolutely excellent, would recommend them.

I’m actually a realtor in Fairfield County. Pricing in Glenbrook is 2200+ as of right now.

Rentals are always going to move on and off the market quickly no matter how the real estate market looks. So demand is always high but there’s always new supply coming on.

Safety wise, Glenbrook is one of the safest areas in Stamford. Schools are rated a 6-8 and as a tip if you ever want to see those ratings for any area use greatschools.org

Glenbrook is generally a family oriented area but there is definitely a mix of younger tenants.

I stayed in Glenbrook area for a few months back in 2019, room share deal in order to commute into NYC. So don't have too much insight for current market. I think the rental market is pretty strong.

I ended up buying a two family in Waterside section, which is definitely more urban. 2nd floor tenants came with property and have been awesome. I've turned first floor over twice so far and each time I've listed I'm inundated with interest. My main issue is weeding through all the under qualified prospects. Fingers crossed, but current couple has been solid thus far. Had it rented in about 2 weeks and that was me doing all the advertising, screening, showings myself.

Its chill there, the only real issue you'll have is people driving like maniacs on hope street

It's more family oriented and young professionals priced out of downtown/ harbor point. There are certainly one bedroom apartments, or people with roommates, variety of folks in them.

Via Brazil in Port Chester they have a butcher in the back. They do pre seasoned things as well always delicious excellent service.

I go go grade A and it turns out great when I get a ny strip. Also La Marqueta has good ranchera

I wouldn’t count it as a butcher but saw stew Leonard’s had reasonable prices on dry aged steak and had meant to try it next time I make the drive. That being said I haven’t found much, usually I wind up getting a day pass at restaurant depot and butchering my own steaks. New wave seafood is a decent fishmonger if you’re looking for one of those. The new fishmonger on high ridge has good quality fish too however their prices were a little high

Darien Butcher Shop is the best

I miss fairway quite a bit....

There is a good one in old Greenwich. Shop Rite is actually pretty good.
