Well I was not talking about the concrete base but of actually the first two floors being build out is aluminum so they can charge more. And also that modern fire suppression sietes AKA the sprinklers can only handle so much and you know super well with what time of material this places are being build adding to that the more and more people are using batteries power bikes and scooter that burns super hot and quit storing them over night inside their apartment

That's completely normal in a low rise podium building. They build a concrete podium for the 5 storeys to sit on.

The main reason that there aren't very tall wooden buildings is because of all the cities burning down in there 19th century. With modern fire suppression technology, wooden buildings are much safer.

I’d look at Norwalk if you’re at that range. Stamford you’ll get a crappier 1br for that. Need like 2-2.5k for nice 1br

I was in Harbor Landing (not harbor point) and had a 1 br for 2.1k. you can maybe find a 1br in a house for for less than 2k but unlikely

Find a compatible roommate and start an OnlyFans channel. Both tenants $1,600 will fetch a decent apartment and have cash for internet, streaming and heat.

Yes $2000+ for a 1 bed, $1600 will get you a studio (if you’re lucky). The further you go from downtown the rents will decrease a little but not by much.

You might be able to find a studio for that. If possible, you’d be better off finding a roommate and a 2br apartment in the 2700-3300 range
