I respect it! I was born and raised in stamford. Harbor point was such a wild concept when first conceived, that area used to be known as the South End and in the 90s/early 00s you didn’t go down there, we did, but people wouldn’t.

Crazy they turned it into a yuppie paradise and have been slowly but surely cleaning the area and surrounding areas up.

Didn't they close a restaurant and replace it with a different concept a couple months ago, which also closed? Why would you change concepts if you were doing well? Why would you open a new concept if the lease terms were so bad?

My guess is they used their $225k PPP loan to expand by opening a second restaurant concept, which failed. They tried to change that second restaurant concept earlier this year, but by then it was too little too late - the free money was gone.

No not at all. The most direct way to downtown is if you go past the Charter/Deloitte (I think is the other) buildings under the bridge right next to the train station, It’s all really nice corporate buildings.

The unsafe area (in my opinion) over here is if you’re headed to like Colony Grill or ShopRite, but you’d have to pass through a smiles sketchy area even if you lived downtown. Coming from living down town, Harbor Point is really such a solid home base.

But to each their own. After living in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Downtown Stamf,a large part of my happiness over here comes from being in a position where I only experience the hustle and bustle of city life when I want.

I’m going to buck the trend and say Soufi. Othman is my favorite there.

Soufi is good but if it’s literally anyone other than soufi or this one chick they’re 100% gonna fuck up ur hair lol. Happened many times to me and I won’t go back there anymore bc of it.

Not downtown but if ur willing to go to the east side go to cove barbershop and ask for Harold. Although all the guys are very good there I personally always go to Harold.

Don’t you have to drive and walk through unsafe areas to even get to harbor point?

Sounds about right and on par with what I’ve heard. Wasn’t it more harbor point/south end and not downtown though?

John’s wife looks so damn familiar and it irks the hell out of me because I can’t put my finger on why. Was she an actress? Did we go to high school together? WHY! Even my sister said she agreed that she looked eerily familiar. Bugs the hell out of me.

Relative to the rest of Stamford restaurants they were fine. Seemed like the only place around that was ever doing anything to bring people in the door.

I only went once it was ok, but I also heard it was not well run and had issues like Fighting/tough guys
