I don’t know if they are locals or tourists- I’m going by the videos showing plenty of young people (and majority non-boomer age) doing the running.

Video evidence indicates you don’t need to outrun them, you also have the option of being gored or trampled. 😂

Eh. It was already part of Fort Bliss. Bonus: It won't be open to public use for years because it's riddled with unexploded munitions and needs a serious EOD cleanup.
It does border the already existing Franklin Mountains State Park though if you want to enjoy the wilderness in that part of Texas.

Glad to hear your dad is doing well! I probably worked on that trial and with his doctor. The leuk docs at DFCI are the Babe Ruths of leukemia.
Any chance you remember what the treatment was?

Making huge strides in the right direction, fyi the goal is to eventually remove Chemo as a need at all. Biologics are making this possible and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.

We have "The Shoe Box" in Black Earth, WI about an hour's drive from us.
My son is a medical giant, 7-feet tall and over 500lbs. Getting ANY clothing items for him is a challenge. He's literally the largest human you've ever seen.

I feel you so hard... like... No where near that big (yet T_T) but my hubs wears 15's... I have 2 boys... The 18yo wears 16's and the 14yo wears 13's so I'm suspecting he might well end up at 16-17 with how his brother went. I count my blessings that we've got a big and tall store locally because buying shoes online has -never- worked out for us.

Yeah I don't love the misleading headline. And it's a small study, with a relatively small success yield.
But imagine being one of those 18 people -- certainly a miracle drug to them.

They all take turns licking the communal pill.
Alternatively, and much more morbidly, they're all sewn together like a human centipede.

Cancer is essentially the "final boss" for humans.
If any one human manages to avoid death from other sources for long enough, they will eventually die to cancer just due to how the human body works.
Cancer is basically just "there's something wrong in how your cells are reproducing and the body can't take care of it like it usually does." And all humans reach that point eventually.
It's just very unfortunate that some of us reach it well before others.
