If we’re going to live in the real world, we should stop indulging the business owners who want everyone to pretend that no one wants to work first. They’re just out to complain. If they want to fix the problem, they have the ability to pay more.

Ok. So lets play that out.
Pay those folks more, sure, but then... suddenly the cost of building anything goes up 100%. Because this is the real world and you know that builders aren't to take that out of their margin.
And suddenly, even though those construction workers are making $100k, they still can't afford to buy a house.

I'm only here to signal boost this great nonprofit that works with youth that are into dirt bikes. They're learning STEM skills, how to build bikes, and practicing the hobby safely.

Its way more than 12 an hour. The AA or AAA whatever they are called make at least 15 an hour I believe.. There are a lot of openings in Baltimore County and Baltimore City. You just need to call Human resources or someone in the office who does hiring and ask them.

It’s way more than that. They can’t officially count the ones with the serial numbers ground off as stolen

Hunt Valley. 83N out of the city to Shawan road exit west, then take an immediate right onto Western Run Road and park in the park and ride lot there on your right. There will be other cyclists parking there. Take western run road away from Shawan and there are TONS of hills. You’ll see lots of cyclists out there Sat and Sun mornings. If that lot is full you can drive a little further west on Shawan until Oregon ridge Park. Park there and ride north on Cuba Road. Use the Strava heat map to find the most traveled roads by cyclists. Prior to having kids I used to do a lot of long rides up there when I was training for long triathlons. If you want something closer to the city, try the loch raven reservoir/Long Green/Baldwin area. There are some decent hills but more vehicle traffic. Hunt valley is really where you want to ride and is worth the drive. Plus, you can refuel at Wegmans after your rides in HV.

Just call and let them know, they'll postpone it. You only have to serve once per year.

Druid Hill Park has some great elevation change and drivers aren’t as much of a PITA as they are in the rest of the city if you’re trying to do some road riding. Always best to bike to where you’re trying to train (get some extra work in and you don’t have to drive anywhere!)

I think unfortunately part of the allure of riding the dirt bikes is the nuisance it causes.
I don’t think they would go anywhere near a sanctioned dirt bike area.

Because having somewhere to ride the dirt bikes is not the reason they are a problem. It’s the culture surrounding the reasons the dirtbikes exist, and they don’t exist to compete in the X games.

Last week there was a cop heading north on MLK Jr. Blvd, flanked on both sides and behind by a group of about 15 guys on dirt bikes popping wheelies and what not.

This just happened to me too. I served one day in June 2022 and got a summons for April 2023. I was also going to call them - but figured I’d just be kicking the can further down the road since I’ll get summoned in a couple months anyways. I guess I might as well get it over with. But I do believe you can call them and they’ll postpone it for you.

It’s hilly and pretty and relaxing but not that difficult. If you want challenging hills, then do the Jones Falls Trail from the Woodberry Apartment on Coldspring Lane back towards Cylburn Arboretum. It’s a constant uphill trail for quite awhile.
It’s also a trail and nice but more along the road compared to the less hilly path that’s besides the trees behind the zoo.

Do they have tile saws? I will probably need one later this month but only for like 4 tiles so I don’t want to buy one.
