If you can swing it, Canada Goose. I’ve live in NE my entire life and my life changed two years ago thanks to that coat 😂

At this point they should just shut down the T and pave over the tracks

It bothers me when Latino people start using Latinx just because white people/institutions tell them too

What is the legal process to do this? Can Wu just...do it? If so, she needs to

Other than the coat, you really want to own: good boots, warm hats, mittens, and (for really cold days) long underwear -- look for "base layer" from Duofold or Thermajohn.

The previous board was highly regarded and actually ran the T very well. They got capital projects such as the GLX and SCR back on track and even planned for commuter rail electrification. Any progress the previous board made was pulled back when the Baker-appointed board was put in charge in 2021.

I have an LL Bean "Maine Warden Parka" which keeps me very warm. It was also MUCH cheaper than the more "fashionable" brands

It's painful these days. The mbta is why I'd never live in Boston again.

Precisely- the 2021 control board was set for failure by Baker himself. He ordered the current board to be as hands-off and passive as possible to lower capital costs, and he got exactly that. Unfortunately, our current governor does not recognize this issue and has made no indication of appointing a new board.

I think I'm most offended at the use of the term "Latinx". Like WTF white people. Make a brown friend, it's ok to learn and respect their language. No need to be offended for them, then shit on their language.
Other than that, I hope no one tells this group of dipshits from VA about California...or the NAACP for that matter. Dear lord...

Y’all are really lacking critical thinking if you believe having anticapitalist values means total abstention from all currency.

I love how these were put in to improve communication to riders, and they basically just lie to us all the time.

Incarceration is peak capitalism. And I never said an anticapitalist tattoo, I said a tattoo that has an anti capitalist meaning.

The Columbia Heat Interchange reflective heavy coats are no joke. Tested that shit out in the arctic circle, 50 mph winds, blizzards almost non-stop. The jacket does the job.

They’re a bit pricey, but a Marmot or a North Face puffer will keep you warm and dry for years

My weekday sanity walk is 3.5 to 4 miles depending on which loop. The four mile is an hour ten if I stop to smell the roses. A 1.5 mile with a destination and a deadline would be twenty five minutes, and me a moderately healthy pudgy 70 year old.

Keep the car. People will say you don't need a car in Boston but this isn't true anymore. You're better off driving than taking the T. It's safer to drive in Boston than to take the T. I'd personally take the hit and pay $500 a month to not ride on that sorry excuse for a transit system. After all is said and done, you'll realize that living in Boston isn't worth the time and money and you'll figure out that living in the suburbs is a much better way to go. The place is just not the same anymore.
