I've had to ask to change my hours at work to make sure I make to work in time, and I can catch my bus on the way home. It's unbelievable that I have to take a 6:26 am bus to get to Kendall Sq before 8am. My bus only runs every 1/2hr, so I have to now leave work at 4pm in order to catch a 5:25 pm bus.

Have you ever heard of a transit death spiral? Yoh seem to have no basic knowledge of how successful transit systems are run. Lowering frequency will not reduce expenses enough to cover the completely collapse in ridership that will be caused by your proposed measures. The mbta spends almost $600M on wages, $550M on debt service and only $365M on materials and services.

The most direct route is through Paul Revere and North Point parks, which is pleasant. Getting from MGH to the parks requires a walk along Storrow for a few blocks. Then from the parks to the Navy Yard is along Chelsea. The crossings can be bad, and it’s also just a lot of barren sidewalk next to heavy traffic.

Hiking the passes that amount will not make up for the lost revenue from cancellations and lost individual fares. It's not like I didn't read your comment...

Thank goodness no policy makers read your complaining on Reddit for tips and tricks to fix the local transit agency.

If I was asking my dentist to decorate my teeth with an anti capitalist critique I absolutely would check. If I was asking my doctor for an anticapitalist medical procedure I would ask.

The difference is that I am commissioning art. It’s reasonable to buy art from artists who enjoy the commission.

i wear a basic wool coat from a thrift store... i dont find that it gets cold enough here for any of those super warm super expensive coats. also has the added benefit of being able to wear the same coat from september through to april.

itd be different if you have to spend an extensive amount of time outside though, i spend my winters mostly indoors.
