Coolidge rents their other theaters (43 seat screening room and 180 seat one).

No excuse, I work remotely 1-2 days a week but my phone is forwarded and I am expected to pick it up (not a state employee obv).

They don’t. Some people just like to be miserable. We frequently meet up for lunch/early dinners at brew pubs with other families and it’s very much a normal thing and not something that’s a big deal at all.

Reply to Thoughts on Holbrook? by [deleted]
Where do you work and how often do you have to be there? Commuter rail will get you to South Station, hopefully the times work for you.
A friend bought in Holbrook during the pre-Obama real estate bubble. Holbrook took longer to recover property values than places closer to Boston. I’d bet the same is true of other places, but something to keep in mind.

$15 is still a high cap for sandwiches. Better goal would be $10

I take it your wife’s brother is not a current state employee?
ETA: Just to add context to my cynicism. I worked every summer during college for the MDC (yes I’m old). This job was impossible to get unless you knew somebody. I literally picked up trash and mowed weeds next to route 16 for minimum wage. All of my co-workers were either college kids or prisoners.
An actual career-track job with health insurance and a pension is not something you can just apply for, unless things have changed dramatically for the better.

My god when slumbrew had their tent at assembly it was a godsend to a new family. They had tons of toys and it allowed a stressed out and sleep deprived mom and dad a few minutes to feel like a fucking person. By the amount of nods from other families it was gold. No one is taking there kids to bars after 7pm.

It does, for three hours, it’s $200 for weekdays and $300 on weekends. Has about 30 seats, iirc.

Who is "we" and why would anyone care what "we" thinks or notices?
There should be a time cutoff (5 or 6 pm) for 21+ but where else are childless and childbearing friends supposed to get together? The childless still want to see their friends with kids and big breweries are the perfect place to do it.
If "we" don't like it there are plenty of bars for drinking that don't allow kids.

Reply to Do any concert goers agree that big night live is a horrible venue to see a show at? by pingudrip
My beef with Big Night Live was the setup of room. The VIP breaks the room in half and there aren't any bathrooms or bar on one side of the room so it leads to a weird congestion on one side.
Security was wildin out in the bathroom but it was super easy to just do drugs in the crowd.

Didnt think asking a question about dinner with kids at 5pm would get all the millennials panties in a twist.
Do most people bring their kids to the bar, sitting at the bar, at 10 pm? Whats with all the panic?
