No exclusives that I want to play. I'm not really into those 3rd person set piece full of cutscene games. So it's not for me.

Only bought it to play Bloodborne and Demons Souls.

Xbox is much better for me as it's way cheaper than building an up to date PC and has GamePass

I'm doing a bachelor's (and next year) in classical guitar performance. Although, you're right that a PC at some point will be valuable, I'm not physically in a big enough space (or economical need) where that is necessary. Thanks though:)

My guess would be that it's possibly the hard drive as ps3 loads games onto it & generally runs the game from there, only using the disc to verify.

Good news is changing the hard drive is pretty well documented now & it's just a laptop hard drive.

Is there a cloud system where it auto uploads all your data and saves to the cloud and then you can just easily re-download it another console?

I don’t know about Xbox but auto uploads of your data exists on PS4/PS5 and let’s you download them on another console so you don’t have to lose anything ever so I’m sure Xbox must have their own alternative version of it?

Because it's geared towards kids. Kids have a lot of time to play video games. Kids also need to be entertained constantly, so the Switch's portability is icing on the cake. Kids also crave couch multiplayer, which the Switch offers a lot of. And kids also grow up. Nintendo has been focusing on kids for the past 35 years, so now a lot of those kids are adults who have their own kids, which has helped the Nintendo console become the perfect "family" gaming system.

The other systems have allowed Nintendo to take the kid/family market, while they've shifted their focus to more serious gamers. The "big 3" systems are all very popular, but Nintendo has captured a special segment of the market.

Well if it happens at the same spot all the time, more then likely it is the game disc.
Try it out in someone else's Ps3 to confirm.
I had a bad brand new copy of DOA and it didnt work from a bad burn at the factory.

I think I got up to something like 7-8Tb in total storage for my Xbox before I gave up, but I only realized how unnecessary all that was afterwards. It was a slow build up. Few physical games a year, then a bunch more titles from GwG, and finally Game Pass. Feels silly now, but keeping all games installed was perfectly feasible not too long ago (natural time to stop to reconsider would have been when I ordered the second external HDD, but think hurt brain, me like not! Buy more feel good!)

Uhh that is a really nice response!! I actually didn't even consider Series S (why, I think the exclusives for PS4 and Switch have been more my alley), but it sounds intriguing!
