Sure but then you'd have spent more money on hardware alone, all your games, achievements, saves, profiles etc are all on one system and that's not even taking into the consideration the other benefits PC can get you like simple emulation, modding, any controller support (like having your 1 friend that has an xbox bring his controller over and the other friend who has joycons bring his while you use your playstation controller), cheaper games, more games, cheaper storage expansion etc loads more that are probably not relevant to you specifically. In 10-20 years your games you paid for will still be compatible if you want to jump back in for nostalgia, something I unfortunately can't say for some older sports titles on modern xbox and playstation.

I like my PC, it was mid to higher end ages ago and I can still play the newest games on mid 1440 and the harder to play ones 1080 at mutch higher frames. I spent about just over 1k pounds sterling 7 ish years ago and I can play all newest and emulate the switch now there is ps4 game I can plat to and this 1080ti still has life in it. If I bout a xbox 360 and games at there price, xbox 1 and games at there prices, now the series x and switch I would have paid a lot more than I ever paid for my PC.

And if I really want to (eg play re7 and pirate the campaign and get a better experience than console and the steam version why would I not do that lol)

I have a PC with an RTX 3080 and an I9 processor with Xbox GamePass hooked up to an LG CX Oled. I also have a PS5 with PS Plus Premium hooked up to the same TV. Play both from the couch. Most of my playtime is on the PS5. I actually think PS Plus is better than GamePass for now. It's a lot cheaper (than the Xbox version, same price as GamePass PC) and has about 300 more games. GamePass gets you day one games but the library is mediocre compared to all of the Sony exclusives.

I have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One collecting dust. Unless Xbox starts releasing exclusive games that aren't also available on PC, I see no reason for a Series X.

Very similar to my gaming preferences, OP. I picked up a Series X because I wanted something a bit more laid back to play with since buying a really nice recliner for my office. I also play a lot of multiplayer games and more recently my son has gotten old enough now to want to play games like Rocket League with me, so a console just seemed more convenient. I gotta be honest with you, aside from playing the new WoW expansion recently, I haven’t played a game on my PC since getting the Xbox back in January of last year.

Nah, I don't think so. XBox already has K&B support for many games. PC gamers mostly aren't interested in consoles at all, and even with the higher prices, they'd still rather pay more for PC parts because in the long run, you save a lot more money from buying games in bundles and getting them for free (from Epic games, for example).

It just doesn't feel the same as when you play on PC. We have it on Xbox where bunch of games support M&K. If I had a PS, I would never think about M&K. DualSense and is just awesome, even the DualShock.
