Sensor bars can be a few quid on ebay or from a local second hand gaming shop if your lucky

I'm sure it was cheaper, but it looks a lot cheaper. Like, my first thought upon seeing this was that OP got a knockoff.

It legit might be overheating because of dust. I’ve realised that my PS crashes whenever my central heating is on!

A can of compressed air to clear out the dust has done the trick.

Probably because I’d imagine it was cheaper for Nintendo to keep the design the exact same but simply leave out the actual GameCube components. Like from Nintendo’s POV I’d guess they just suspected no one would bother looking at it or care about it

Certain variants of the wii have removed GameCube compatibility but there were still cutouts for ports n stuff

Reply to Is the PS5 a good purchase in 2023? by analogHedgeHog
Well, I will say that it's only worth it if you wish to continuously keep playing, I know a lot of people in the same situation as you who wanted to buy a PS5 but stopped playing after a month. The console itself is great, but ask yourself first, what you would play, and if you have anyone to play with even.

Reply to I’m getting a PS5 but I don’t have a monitor yet is there any suggestions? My budget is around 250$ for a monitor.. by Traditional-Page9984
I suggest trying to find a 1440p 144hz or 165hz monitor. Your not going to get a 4k120fps monitor for that amount so find something with those specs so you get the best of both worlds

The switch still has about 4 year left. And people are still buying older consoles
It's worth it

Xboxes have not suffered from shortages to the levels of PS5 suggesting that yes, PS5 sales numbers are massively inflated by scalpers. Which anyone who has tried to buy one would know.

And that too is maybe because of the scalpers buying most of the stocks

We have both in our house. Me and my son trade them back and forth all the time and love em both. But the Xbox just feels more sturdy. The PS5 is louder. It's awkwardly shaped and awkwardly huge, the stand won't stay on when trying to place horizontal. I hate having to move it from one room to another. I will be trading it in for the Slim as soon as it's available.

I wouldn't have any concerns at all about the PS5 becoming obsolete any time remotely soon. The PS4 is still getting numerous recent AAA games like Hogwarts Legacy and God of War Ragnarök, plus upcoming games like Resident Evil 4 Remake and Assassin's Creed Mirage. With the PS4 (released in 2013) still getting that level of support in 2023, the PS5 will be alright until at least 2030 probably a little more.

I see that you didn’t understand what I wrote. While Sony sold more up front, in each of the last 12 months, Xbox has outsold PlayStation. While Sony has sold more in total, they are not actively outselling Xbox. They just sold more off the jump.
