When you see definition about scalpers you know you’re not one of them. You simply collect used items and resell them , you’re a reseller. While scalpers scalp all the shit for new and sell them to people who can’t find one to make profit of it.

No. You're a reseller. The main difference being that you're not actively contributing to the lack of supply by buying all available stick. You're just buying a product and reselling it for a profit (or loss) depending on what the market dictates.

Just for price break down

Mb $80 Cpu $102 Gpu $250 + $10 for a new fan Case $50 Ram $60 Nvme $130 Psu $110 (again a splurge, she will be inheriting pieces from me and dad so wanted one that would last and have enough power for upgrades)

Total = $792

Excuse the awful mobile formatting.

Ryzen 5 4500 (this one is a bit behind the series x but still performs extraordinarily well plus I over clocked it. She will be getting dads 5800x in a year or 2), she originally had a rtx580 but I returned it after I found a 3060 for $250 tax in. Had a dead fan, was a no brainer. 32gb ram, and a 750w psu. Things a tiny tank.

It is normal for other companies, but if we're speculating on their next generation of hardware I would say it won't just be a souped up version of their existing hardware.

Mostly because I don't think that will be enough for them to replicate the success they've had with the Switch.

In the past when they haven't innovated, they haven't done as well.

I just gave you the price comparison. It was dollars. Not 75% more. I’m Canadian, the price margins on things really aren’t that different for electronics for here compared to UK. And gunna add I splurged in areas I could have saved money on her build. Like she has a really fast nvme. I could have put a sub par ssd in and it still would of been faster than an Xbox, and I could have saved $100. But I have multi thousand builds myself, and working on a slow potato annoys me. So I chose to splurge for convenience so updating it for her and installing things doesn’t take all day.

I would expect it to outperform it when it costs 75% more. So in my country for me it doesn't make sense, thats obvious for someone in the uk like myself but not to someone god knows where

I built my daughter a gaming pc that out performs the series X for under $800. A series X if I could get my hands on it retail would be $760. And it can do everything the Xbox can plus some 🤷🏻‍♀️. I own consoles. But the mind frame that you need to spend thousands on a pc build to be better than a console is just false information. I only get consoles when they’re outdated and the prices are actually reasonable or if they’re actually really worth it. Like the steam deck.
