Yes if there’s 53/1000, that’s wayyy too high. That probably means that that job market for doctors is extremely saturated.

Yup, a lot of firms from China setup shop in Mexico when tariffs were put in place. Intermediate stop, some minor change and now...Made in Mexico vs China.

I expected to the same city name in different states. But I'm surprised that some states have multiple instances of the same city name. (CA, GA, PA and OH each have multiple cities named "Centerville")

So even if the U.S. had free healthcare, there aren’t enough doctors to treat us all anyway? Cool cool cool.

I do everything online. 10 years ago going on a big holiday required a folder of printouts. Now it is all on my smart phone.

Here is the link to my original interactive visualization that is updated daily
After making my California Reservoirs dashboard marimekko graph, I decided to make a similar Colorado river reservoir page. The Lower Colorado water is used in Southern California and Arizona.
The area of each rectangle shows the total volume of the reservoir in thousands of acre feet (kaf). The blue section shows how much of the capacity is full. You can see the two main reservoirs, Lake Mead and Lake Powell are not in good shape relative to their normal historical levels.

Data Sources and ToolsThe data on water storage comes from the US Bureau of Reclamation's Lower Colorado River Water Operations website. Historical reservoir levels comes from the water-data.com website. Python is used to extract the data and wrangle the data in to a clean format, using the Pandas data analysis library. Visualization was done in javascript and specifically the D3.js visualization library.

So the farther north I go in international waters, the less physicians there are!

It makes sense for Greece cause after world war II and before people started moving to the cities the pinacle of profession was doctor or a lawyer. This notion stood strong up until 2000's

I know that there are jurisdictions that are moving to abolish cheques, but I don't see how it's retro to use a cheque when the terminals are down.
I think it was just last year that a Rogers outage took down most payment terminals across Canada for a couple of days. The local (rural) businesses just did business as usual, except that instead of one or two cheques a day, it was all cheques, all day.
We still use cheques regularly because seasonal and farm-based businesses and lack of internet make cheques the only viable way to conduct business. It's not like I'm going to run to the city to take out the cash I'd need.

Must be because of that 'NAFTA superhighway' all the regular suspects were shitting their pants about way way back in 2007.

Most countries in the world don't have drug problems (on the scale of the US), the question you should be asking is "Why does the US have such an awful drug problem?"

I commented on the last post mentioning the colour-blind issue and just saw you replied to that! Obviously ideally you'd always want to pick colours that reflect something in the dimensions (trophy logos in this case) as you did in the original post, but from my perspective this is great. Solid colour picks and very easy to distinguish. Nice one 🏆
