In my experience, they dont ALL need one-on-ones but it certainly is helpful to meet individually.

In my experience, it can usually be meeting 2-3 people in a day (30-45 mins each) and a few over phone calls.

I interviewed with ~4 firms last year, all of which were 6-8 interviews (where i also count the case study and/or excel test as a round).

Not sure what exactly OP had in mind, but it certainly better illustrates structural differences between the countries, as well as oddities within the countries.

People already explained why Galicia in northwestern Spain looks so different (the settlements are smaller, making the population more spread out), but there are also details in other countries that make me curious. For example why Saxony has such a noticeably denser network than the rest of eastern Germany (with the exception of Berlin, of course).

I'm more liberal than most but support completely repealing the SALT cap. Why? I'd rather my taxes go first toward city, county, and state taxes, closer to where they are spent.

Lower city, county, and state taxes are correlated with much higher spend from federal tax dollars.

I can talk to the city council member to advocate for funding a project to refurbish a local park. No way I can meaningfully talk to my congress person about how federal tax money is being spent in Iowa.

In switzerland the trains not only connect the capitals. You can drive with the train to jungfraujoch 3454m.If you drive from Chur 515 to Brig 491 (both capitals) you can drive up to the Oberalppass 2042m down to andermatt 1400m and up again to furka 2100m.

Allthough its faster to drive the long way around with the tunnels. The huge benefit is that switzerland is so small, way easier to build lasting infrastructure.

i just checked for lulz.

Avila-valladoid-gijon with train only is 2400m up and 3500m down with 393km.
Brig-andermatt-chur with train only is 4100 up and 4100 down with 280km.

I did some quick data analysis because your comment made me curious, and it looks like there are only very weak correlations (R^2 < 0.2) between state GDP or average income and SPM values with low slope trendlines. I can see where the idea comes from, though, with many of the richest states also having high SPM. That said, there are notable exceptions (Illinois, Washington, Massachusetts, etc.) to this, and you can see many of the poorest states also have high SPM values. All in all, it's a wash.
