The article details a Niche.com annual ranking:
"In the top 100, Jersey City ranked 78th on the Best Cities to Live in America, receiving an A- grade overall.
But it received a C+ in public schools, a C for crime and safety, a C for cost of living, and C- for housing.
Rents in the city are among the most expensive in the country, and in some buildings, tenants have had to fight large (sometimes illegal) rent increases.
The town got an A+ for diversity, A+ for nightlife, as well as an A for outdoor activities and an A for health and fitness. It got a B+ for "Good for families" and a B- for weather."

Again, bullshit. You are affiliated with Bob Hurley by using his name to sell your product. He used you to promote LSP privatization.

Based on precedent in this subreddit, post a list of items but don't include prices, and then when people inquire about the items, demand 70%+ of the original retail price and get offended at lower offers.

Hurley uses them to promote the People's Park Foundation while 902 banks on Hurley name. If they truly did not know, cancel it!

One of my friends used to live at 295j before moving to the Urby downtown recently. Agreed on Latch it is hit or miss, on my iPhone it worked fine, but on some Androids it might lag when opening doors or the progress bar would get stuck. Still I've seen worse, whatever the app the Dvora buildings use would actually just not work at all sometimes.

I saw a post awhile back that said The Little Sandwich Shop. Maybe someone else can confirm?

I encourage everyone to go to 902 tonight. Don’t buy a single drink but make your voices heard.
Let the fraudsters at People’s Park know what the people of Jersey City think of their astroturf campaign to try and takeaway one of our great open spaces.

I warned this sub a few weeks ago that the astroturf campaign was starting up again. It’s here in full swing.
Get organized. Write your representatives. Hell, go to 902 tonight and make your voices heard.
Show the People’s Park fraudsters what the people of Jersey City really think.

Shocking that they would host this event. Very disappointed.

except when their is social media - they already acknowledged they did no digging into the org , looks good at face value - booked it for that and regret it but can not cancel the event due to agreements .

They know they fucked up at this point and i genuinely believe they regret it

Bullshit, you peddle Hurley's name on your product and he is hosting this event at your location while getting God knows what for pushing the People's Park agenda. You know exactly what you are supporting but money talks. Thanks for selling out LSP and all of its supporters.

They addressed it on twitter - they did Zero Research into the org. Thought it was a legit good org trying to improve the park.. i mean the entire point of the org it to get the community to support it at face value ...lets be honest the average citizen and person doesn't dig much deeper then face value. I mean lets cut them a bit of a brake and let this be a lesson to them to check on who they are allowing to have events at their space.
Honestly if it wasn't for reddit and only seeing the media / propaganda i might think they weren't so bad if not of the giant venue in the middle at least.
Ive meet them a few times - talked to them when it was slow the seem like good people that made an honest / lazy mistake .

Side note if your willing to drive all the way to Defiant - you might want to check out Carton its less then an hour from JC. Edit* Except in the peak of beach season btw since its in that general direction . But this time of year is AWESOME to go to it .

Lots of broke and bitter people who is living in the wrong cities to be broke. Ohio or Oklahoma is more their vibe.

That sounds like a sensible approach to procuring some matzah ball soup this afternoon.

Instead of 65 Bay go with 88 Morgan, it is better built. You will likely have to pay 1 month broker since it is a condo. 88 Morgan would be the most spacious.
I would live reasonably close the PATH so you can walk. You do not want to rely on the light rail, frequency is awful off peak and it is slow. You do not want to wait for the PATH AND wait for the light rail.
Other reco would be 10 Provost or 77 Hudson. 99 Hudson while nicer and newer would be out of your budget.

I saw the response and they are being defense after stepping in some shit. They are human and do you think the booking person throughly researches everything? I don’t. I’m down for a boycott if they host again, but we can still protest outside regardless of our feelings of 902. If I was 902, I’d let both happen and carve out a safe area visible from the road to let people who want to protest do it safely.
