I'm ready to get down voted into oblivion - I ain't complaining. As a renter this is part of why McGinley Square area in an older building is cheaper than an equivalent older building in Boston. The land portion of a property tax is impossible to pass down to renters because the supply of land is fixed. Only the building portion gets passed down. I wonder what the median value of a property in this metro is? People who can afford to pay high taxes should be taxed to fund social services.

Sorry to see them go, but service was always crummy. Went once when they were on the corner at Grove back in 2011/12 and service was abysmal - chalked it up to the relative lack of competition downtown back then. Gave the new location a go about six months after they reopened - by which time there was many more dining options in the neighborhood - and the service was even worse than before. Never went back. Wish them well in whatever comes next for them.

Ughh this is disgusting - i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt , but this is just too much. Hate to say it as i love the place but ill just go to Corgi and Depurated instead . Not that a small number of us on reddit will do much to their bottom line , but at least we know who they are and can tell others and maybe long term that will

Damn: they were an institution downtown. I was skeptical when they moved from the corner of Grove and Columbus years back, but the food got even better in the current spot.

I'm going to miss their Gloria Estefan panini

Yes, there will be a record of it.

You may have some challenges if your intent is to apply for citizenship, but if your timeline is 3-5 years then it will likely not be an issue as long as you don't run into other issues.

I'm not a lawyer, so please take anything I say with a healthy amount of skepticism. You should consult with an immigration lawyer for more of the intricacies of the system. Here is a discussion about this very issue that happened in 2018: https://www.justanswer.com/criminal-law/bp3ke-ticket-nj-path-train-station-saying-fare.html
