No, the city stopped abatements to downtown maybe 7-10 years ago. Most of the abatements downtown are expiring the next few years, with some exceptions like Crystal Point. There used to be a good map here but doesn't work any more Mapping Abatements in Jersey City – Civic Parent - that has links to spreadsheets with the data incl expiry dates.

The problem with this is that JC has built more new supply than any other city. We are the poster boy for new development. Instead it made the city nicer and somehow more desirable?

More crime. Only realistic way to bring down the rents.

Newport food court got one good options. Might need a reservation after 5p

Unfortunately Base is the only real option. It gets crowded because of this.
If you want crossfit type boutique class-oriented gyms, there's a few other options (JCFit, Ironbound, etc). I don't use these gyms so idk.

Omg that used to be my favorite!!!! They have a new owner so it’s a little tamed down but not 100%. Sooooo funny when they used to dox complaining customers. And like, email their employers. Incredible.

Sounds like someone I should follow.
If you wanna follow someone who's messy, follow The Cottage JC, they always have something going on against clients. 😂

Sam AM is a nice, upscale brunch place downtown. Cafe Alyce is a nice, upscale brunch place near McGinley Square.
And Larsen's Diner doesn't look like much from the outside (it's a dingy old building wedged in between two dollar stores on Communipaw), but the food is terrific. Maybe not a first date spot, but a place to go to often if that first date pans out...

Skip Matthews food is bland. Probably the only restaurant without a box of diamond crystal. Drinks are good though.

It is mind-boggling we don't already have more integrated services between all the towns and cities in Hudson County. Home rule is one of NJ's worst pecadillos.
