What I'm wondering is - what makes someone dangerous? What about the person threatens our safety??? Those such strong accusations, and with no examples. Which we need. For our tea. 😬🤣

Reply to PATH Train on Twitter - #PATHThursday is an opportunity for passengers to meet with PATH staff and management to share concerns and offer suggestions about ways to enhance the system. by notabot_123
Honestly... I don't understand the point of this.
PATH knows what the complaints are. Weekend service, overnight headways, single tracking, nonsensical delays, etc.
They choose to do nothing about it. So what is the point of a session like this?
Honestly the Port Authority needs to give up PATH to a more responsible and transparent agency that is actually beholden to the tax payers of NJ. Until then, they will literally do the absolute bare minimum they can, while holding these sessions to pretend they at least listen.

Yea I hope the rooftop is open to regular diners but even if it isn’t I would still view this as an improvement overall. The restaurant will make more money and still be able to fulfill ordinary dining customer orders and plus weed !

Hope I’m wrong with this, but looks like the rooftop is a private event/catering hall unfortunately

>The biggest opponents of zoning reform in NJ & NY are left-wing activists
Don't think this is true at all. I've seen a lot more "Left-wing" activists calling for zoning reform such as removing parking requirements, increase in height, etc.

On one hand I wouldn't be surprised if they finally got past some hurdle and actually could do it in 3 weeks if they worked around the clock.
On the other hand, I'm not holding my breath.

Not sure I’m following, I think OP has a valid point. If only one or three neighborhoods are seen as desirable within JC (basically downtown, Heights, Newport) then the other areas are going to be neglected. They need to build out in order to avoid all the investment and development from getting concentrated in these small handful of locations as opposed to the rest of town, which consists of many many other neighborhoods.

Recycle what you get and opt out so that you don't get more in the future:

So the restaurant is moving to a rooftop location and we’re getting a weed store too ? Sounds like everyone wins

The part of JC doesn't matter in this sense. The strategy in downtown or elsewhere in JC like Heights or Westside should be the same: increase density. That's how you relieve pressure on rent.
And since we happen to have an underbuilding NYC right next to us, we have to build A LOT because it's difficult to build enough as New Yorkers just keep coming over and filling it up. The answer is build, build, build. Build up.

More supply just goes to the same people and corporations that own everything else and make renting and owning too expensive for most people.
