i mean, it’s dumbo. One of the most expensive neighborhoods in Nyc. Looking at mid market apartments between Jersey and UES or UWS or further away in Brooklyn all shows comparable number now. This wasn’t the case 4 years ago

Go down Coles until you are past where the overpass is and there are a lot of murals in that area. Great if you are looking for an urban slightly gritty feel.

This kind of depends on where you live.. DTJC Club Metro in Newport is not bad at all. Would love to try BASE but don't think its worth the money considering I either work out in my apartment gym or club metro.
If willing to travel, you can sign up for classpass and try different gym, classes, workouts.

That would be so convenient. I usually take the number 80 bus, but the fact it goes north to Journal Square before heading downtown makes it take a lot longer than it should.

Why would you scratch out her name? Let other redditors be aware so they don’t fall into the same scam with her

World Boxing Gym is one of the cheapest around, pretty big and has good hours, can be busy sometimes but usually nothing crazy. If you sign up for 6 months it’s $60 a month. Imo it’s great for the price and has everything you need.

Better reason would be which one has what you want and is the easiest to get to.

Base is the one true option in the area that I can walk to and it’s a shit show. Always overcrowded, poorly trained staff and price is high for what you get. I’ve written emails to Equinox and Lifetime fitness begging them to open up a gym here.

Actually not as close as the proposed one right next door to one that got shot down. But a mere few blocks away, from the shot down one, which makes all the cries of it getting turned down all the more dramatic and ridiculous. Yes, the dispensary right next door to the Daycare got shot down, but there will be several more within walking distance from it. 🤦
Sorry, but there's no need for a dispensary on every corner of a residential neighborhood and certainly not next to schools or daycares. You'll just have to stretch your poor legs and walk 2 or 3 blocks more. 🤷♂️

I had to call to have mine removed and it was only a few bags. Just be careful because the city can fine you if they see you are throwing out construction debris.

Anyone not wanting to help with something that is the primary thing their organization is in charge of.... should be fired. NJ Transit not wanting to help with transit projects? Replace them. PA not wanting to help with PATH expansion? Fire 'em. Replace them with a new organization, especially one that's accountable to elected officials.

Yeah, that's the one... suddenly my inbox lit up. There were like dozens of them on older content... in the span of maybe 3-5 minutes. Some variations, but pretty much the same writeup.

I caught a glimpse of one calling Sam Pesin a trust fund baby. I'm sure, as a former pre-school teacher, he'll get a kick out of that!

Cameras can still identify the car details and driver. People driving without plates need to be removed.

I'm a member at Metro. Zero complaints for the price. They offer 90% of what Base offers, for 1/3 the price.

Around the corner from super buy rite there's a large graffiti mural that says "greetings from jersey city". It's behind the Lukoil gas station on Erie and 12th street
