Yes we lived in the area for a while and struggled to find rentals that accepted pets. Not helpful but know it’s tough and if you can I recommend to start saving for a house. Prices in Easthampton are rising so doesn’t have to be there. I hope you find something!

Their cpre business model is similar to Credit Karma, you sign up and get a free daily look at your Transunion credit report and in return they pitch credit cards, loans, and insurance products and collect referral fees whenever someone clicks through and successfully applies.

The credit score they provide (Vantage 3.0 using Transunion data) is virtually useless but the daily free looks at your credit report can be useful.

The north end of Fall River is not so sketchy, same for the southernmost portion of the Maplewood neighborhood(Tucker St/Kennedy St south to the Tiverton line. Bonus for the latter, you’re close to shopping and amenities.

The issued rifle would certainly have been in violation of the Mass assault weapons ban, but may also have been further restricted under the National Firearms Act of 1934, which regulates manufacture, sale and ownership of machineguns and short barreled rifles, among other things. Police are exempt from many provisions of the latter, and exempt from the Mass AWB - but it would be extra illegal for non-police to possess such an item.

Yeah, I asked at the public hearing what provisions there were for abandoned giant buildings when they inevitably vacate, but no one had a good answer. New England is full of abandoned mills, and towns can pay big bucks to maintain/demolish/clean them up.
