That means after 75 years or whatever of life, you still spend a whopping 10% of your total healthcare costs in those last few months of life.

That's huge.

I would guess it's because though Boston has some (relatively) lower density areas than Somerville which drag its overall average down, places like Back Bay are denser than anywhere in Somerville due to the higher density of higher-rise housing. Somerville doesn't really have any neighborhood that is entirely 4-5 story brownstones plus high rise condo buildings. There are a lot more three-deckers in Somerville, which don't house quite as many people.

“Is it cause I’m always buying cheap shit”……yes. 10000% yes. Not sure why you would think otherwise. Basic stuff here. Of course the better stuff is expensive, and obviously black market stuff is going to be cheaper and better. Are you even old enough to buy weed?? This is basic

Hey everyone, I found the newcomer!

EDIT: That's so funny people hatin' ... Hoosac's expression just sounded Wisconsin or Minnesotan to me, I didn't mean anything by it. (please don't tell your Minnesota or Wisconsin friends I suggested they may be similar)

I grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth North High School. So I saw that station on Washington street across from The village cemetery built by BP. They obviously anticipated that the permit to have self service was just a rubber stamp, or something along those lines. I have a suspicion but this is just my guess that the town council didn't appreciate the way BP operated In building the self service without prior approval from them and therefore guaranteed it would never be approved. That was over 50 years ago and Weymouth Massachusetts to this day does not have self service. I no longer live in Weymouth and haven't since 1978 with a few exceptions so I no longer have to worry about buying gas there.

Natural death is like natural birth. Painful, long, rigorous. Epidurals help enormously to ease the entire process — why not embrace something similar for death??? People are so afraid.
