In laconia — it really did come down all day yesterday and harder than i’ve seen the last few months, but none of it stuck. Our covered porch never got visible snow because it just melted as soon as it hit the ground.

All the good spots have been ruined by people from MA & NY who move to the woods, then get freaked out when they hear gunshots and call the cops.
Used to be as simple as finding some power lines far enough away from houses, but now the cops will show up on you in two seconds and make you leave so they stop getting complaints.
There's still spots up North but no one's gonna share those with anyone. My only advice would be learn how to use GIS software and try to find your own. Or much simpler, just join a club.

I wonder why the need to target shoot so often. Once and done, usually to sight your gun. I grew up next door to NH. Maybe during a family gathering we’d spend an hour or so with multiple relatives shooting cans. But there wasn’t this need to shoot on a frequent basis.

Less to do with the grid, more to do with geography and environmental threat to above ground infrastructure.

They hold easements for their lines that permit them to clear on privately owned lands. These easements also permit them to ignore wetland and other environmental laws broadly and without prior approval.

Yes! I remember an ice storm 10 or so years ago and power was out for over a week in most of NH. The electric company got a big fine for that and for the next two years they were pruning like beavers. Now we have the same situation. "Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." I hope they get socked with a big enough fine to make remember this for a while!

I'm near Concord, got probably 8 or so on the ground as of this morning. It was so heavy though it packed down as it fell. I was out with the snowblower yesterday afternoon, and the snowblower was struggling with like, 4"

Yup. That's what I measured last night. People around town measured from 31-36".

The totals were all over the place. We plow in a couple lakes region communities and some places were and inch and others were over a foot
