Let’s not forget the differing reasons behind how this will all take place. Right or wrong, police officers are (ultra) protected by their union. The police chief isn’t a participating member of the union so she’s doing right by not speaking about the matter publicly. The officers, on the other hand, can spew whatever they want and get away with it (because of said protections).

Think about all the other businesses where the boss cannot fire an employee? In an “employ at will” state to boot.

Chocorua is a great hike, it doesn't take all day but you still get some great rock scrambling bits. If you come down rt. 16 stop at the Poor Peoples Pub in Wakefield, it's a lot better than you might think. Super chill place, I want to say a (a few years ago at least) they were selling pints of the PPP ale for like 2 bucks. Can't beat that after a hike.

All ridge trails...Lafayette loop and mt washington..Monroe, etc. A short hike to lonesome lake gives you an idea of effort for the others. A quick but enjoyable loop is Welsh dicky loop or off the Kankakee Hancock loop. Other great areas are in Chatham, emerald pond part of the boldface circle...fun area to explore way up north, consider it a loop background north Conway is dixville..Remote but lots of moose!

Easy access is monadonok...or go to vt mt mansfield. Enjoy!
