Scientists have proved goldfish do have good memories and are able to navigate their surroundings. A team from Oxford University trained nine fish to travel 70cm (2.3ft) and back, receiving a food reward at the end. The study disproves the long-held belief goldfish have little or no memory.

A study found that people perceive that robots are replacing human jobs at a greater rate than they actually are. Only 14% of workers say they’ve had their job replaced by a robot. Workers who had been supplanted by a robot estimated that 47% of all jobs have been lost to robots.

Any type of hormonal contraceptive may increase risk of breast cancer: according to an analysis of data by researchers at Oxford, progestogen-only hormonal contraceptives may increase breast cancer risk by 20-30%; the use of combined contraceptives may also slightly increase breast cancer risk.
