I know it doesn't answer your question, but if you haven't already, you might consider trying some cannabis - specifically edibles. I always had trouble sleeping, but now eat ~30mg after dinner and have no trouble getting 8hrs.

It’s not bad but it’s not good … but they do have a lot of options for picky eaters/vegetarian/healthy eaters in addition to the standard diet types of foods they serve
