What are you even talking about? Chinese citizens found creating or selling unapproved VPNs have received fines and prison sentences anywhere from three days to more than five years.

I really wish this misinformation would die. That claim only applies in terms of sulfur oxides, which cars don't emit in any appreciable amount. It's like saying trucks don't pollute because a single cat produces more cat poop than every truck in the world combined, as long as you define pollution solely in terms of cat poop. In reality, road transport accounts for seven times as much CO2 emissions as shipping.

Thank you for your service. Otherwise, let me know when that great Chinese firewall has actually been implemented here. Otherwise you're just fear mongering in an attempt to undermine this country's attempts to police itself against such entities as the Chinese Communist party among another things... and that's a fact that isn't debatable. Also I stated no personal insults - but obviously you feel a need to take things as such. Victim much? The GDPR will be unenforceable without any direct proof. Do you really expect China to store the evidence of spying through TIkTok on servers here, where it can be detected?

Well, if it gets that easy, these things will be everywhere and everyone will just get used to them.

It's one thing to ban new production gas cars, quite another to make it highly impractical to operate existing ones.

Which itself is a fairly new development. Natural gas passed coal in total electricity generation in USA just 8 years ago.
Renewable energy production is increasing rapidly. In 2022 over 80% of new installation for electricity generation was renewable source with nearly 50% of new installation being solar. This is a massive change from the 2010s.

It allows companies to take advantage. It stipulates anybody 16-18 doesn't need an ID to get a job and 14-15 year olds just need parental permission. Aka, no official way to prove how old a kid actually is. This comes months after multiple meat packing plants were caught employing 12-15 year olds. We are going to hear many many more accounts of kids working jobs they should not once in effect.

You talking about the youth hiring act of 2023 ? It allows teenagers that are 14-15 the ability to get a job. No one is forcing anybody to work. It is just opening the way for teenagers that want to work to be able to get a job without the government having to give permission.

Teams exists for orgs that want most of their software licensing stuff dealt with through a single company. Why pay for Slack when you already pay for Office 365 and a bunch of other Microsoft services and you can simply add one more to the bill?

Maybe China is not strictly an enemy but they're definitely not our best friend at this point - and do much to actively undermine our system here on our soil.
