Honestly the first season was borderline torture porn for a solid chunk of it, it actually cleared up quite a bit after that - which is really saying something because again, still a surprisingly large amount of rape.

I think we'll see more of the Willow IP on Disney+, but as for a S2 who knows.

The original date was always a weird one as it would have missed Emmy qualification under the new rules. They were probably trying to squeeze it in before so it qualified but with the eligibility change they had leeway to shove it back a few months into the next Emmy window. They are pretty stacked in terms of volume over the next few months. They hit 8 concurrent shows at one point which will be a new high for the service!

Wow, this guy was THE writer of my childhood television. And he worked on the 02-03 He-Man too...I really enjoyed that show even though I was in my 20s by then.

This show is bananas. A very significant percentage of the main cast has been raped. Women get raped, men get raped, children get raped, it happens several times each season. I stopped following the show because at some point it's just too much, and apparently I missed a huge gang rape scene in the Season 5 finale? Thank god.

Big shift in episode 7, stick with it a little longer.

My mom and stepdad used to listen to the audiobooks for this series every day, even while I trapped in the car with them. I was an elementary schooler and it was the 90’s, so I didn’t have my own music to block it out either. I’m pretty sure I’ve still got some emotional damage hanging around from all the rapes in these stories.

i started watching as a hatewatch series. then first half wasnt that bad but big twist was s obvious. second half after they solve the big mystery it got boring. it fastforwarded it to finish it. i dont recommend it.

so if you didnt like first half, second half was worse for me.
