Reply to comment by koreth in Apple TV's subtitles are awful. by cmrdgkr

Yeah but I'd like native app support so that it could be used from within the app on a smart TV. Just let me choose more than one subtitle and display them. Let me worry about screen real estate if you think it won't be optimal.

On Liaison, when one of the characters starts speaking French, the English subtitle will very often say, “[Speaking English]” which is surprisingly distracting.

Netflix does a much better job with subtitles IMO.

totally agree, but I'm in the boat that liked all 3 seasons.

1st is basically perfect. couple nitpicking things maybe. the 2nd was just rushed to produce, i feel. the acting and cinematography was nice. just lots to try to focus on. the 3rd season technically had 5 timeframes i believe but 2 are just one scene.. sorry if I'm miss remembering. God now I have to go and watch all of it again. thanks for reminding me

Nope. SkyShowtime beats it... I'm in Europe but watch with English subtitles... They take up like 30% of the screen and have black background... And no way to change any of it...

No, it's called critical thinking. Every attempt at communism has resulted in deaths and restrictions beyond anything experienced under capitalism. There is nothing wrong with capitalism. There is a problem with some aspects of human nature and the checks and balances in the US are not functioning properly at the moment. Acting like there won't be abuses in other forms of economics is stupid.
