Government run news organization is unbiased

Is it the british accent and monotone delivery that confuses people into thinking it's not like every other news organization these days, a joke

I really liked Episode 4, thought it was quite thought provoking and a lot less preachy compared to the three previous ones. In general, I think it's an interesting anthology series overall.

I watched the first three episodes and it’s pretty brilliant, if a little dry at times.

I think there is just something about the themes of this show that is going to rub Redditors the wrong way.

Redditors seem suspicious of things they believe to be “preachy”. Which is basically anything with a point of view on anything political.

There wouldn’t be half as much hate in this thread if Extrapolations was pitched to audiences as a Black Mirror style anthology that just happened to take place in some vague “near future” or alternate world suffering the effects of climate change.

I think what’s gotten peoples backs up so much is the fact that it’s set in “our world”. And that it’s so explicit in its message and belief that man made climate change will have a negative impact on our lives.

TLDR: Drama shows with real world themes make Redditors feel bad. if this had zombies or some sort of crime family in it, people on Reddit would like it more.

When Modern Family ended I was crushed. Those characters were definitely a stand-in for my own family (no offense real family). I mean who doesn't wish Ed O'Neill was their dad? I guess maybe people with good dads... Anyway, I keep the depression at bay by rewatching the entire series at least once a year. But ModFam is a highly rewatchable show because while the finale was sad, it wasn't like everyone died. Or maybe they did and I just don't want to spoil the ending for anyone...

Just did a rewatch. Gonna have to disagree. It was my 4th watch. Season 1 is just superior in acting, writing, and cinematography. Season 3 was better than season 2 which was a rushed misfire. Season 1 was lightning in a bottle. I applaud the writing and acting in season 3 but the ending just fell pretty short. It also makes zero sense how Hoyt doesn’t know everything that happened. I get things don’t get fully resolved ever, but it just seemed very flaccid at the end. Ali and Dorf were off the charts good .

Depression is a bit of a strong word. It's definitely a bit disappointing and sad knowing there's no new episodes coming. But it rarely lasts for more than a few days, for me at least

It won't be long before you look back at the show as a fond memory. Rewatching a show with the ending in mind can be fascinating, as you get to see more clearly how it is building toward its ending from the beginning. It might give you an even deeper appreciation for the show
