Not sure why you're being downvoted here. It is Apple TV+'s fault, not the user or their hardware. Also, telling someone to spend a lot of money on something just to eventually solve this problem is rude, in my opinion.
As someone who has the same problem as you, I have a suggestion that could help or not: try watching with the closed captions subtitles instead of the standard subtitles. I noticed these subtitles aren't as bugged and "vanish" fewer times.

Definitely becomes depressing as the show kept losing cast members and the final lyrics are "One by one they all fade away."

For me the most depressed I was after a series was Clone Wars..... not because it was over so much as because of the magnitude of the catastrophe. I was a bit surprised that a fictional animation could have that kind of impact.

The first 2 seasons are great, season three has great moments but doesn't live up to the first 2, season 4 has some of the highest highs, but most of the B-plots are crap, Season 5 is probably around the same quality as 3 but without any super memorable moments. Season 6 sucks ass and sorta feels like a different show in the way it is structured. Season 7 starts kind of strong but severely drops off. Season 8 just makes you wish for some form of finality. Season 9 is pretty strong, and probably on season 3 & 5 level but still disappoints.
The biggest problem with Dexter is its big viewing numbers, a victim of it's own success. Showtime couldn't bare to get rid of it and swapping showrunners and writers constantly meant every season either ended being wrapped up in a nice bow or the loose end were wrapped up immediately in the following season. It just never feels like the story is heading anywhere. That said, it is an entertaining show, i'd say watch it until it gets tedious, like I said it tends to wrap itself up quite well most of the time.

I have this issue as well but always force myself through it..... but it is never much fun. Always tough to force watch the final episode.

Brit box is how we get these shows. So it’s just a chain of rights. BBC gets money from them for licensing.
Having said that, it really has zero impact on content creators that I choose to download it rather than waiting however many months for it to arrive here on other streaming services. Fuck those corporations and their pointlessly entangled rights.
I can also find shows that just aren’t available to stream anywhere.

The pacing and general Fincher vibe don’t really change. If it’s not grabbing you after a few episodes…might not be your thing.

If you don’t like it after a few episodes, that’s not going to change. Nothing wrong with that. Personally I think it’s one of the best things I’ve watched. Nothing wrong with that either.

It wasn’t a success, the fan base is too small to make it worth doing anything, and it’s been 20 years. The creator is unhireable.

That poses a problem as I obviously don’t want to watch a show that only has one great aspect.

The Bill Tench family plotline was not done well and really dragged down the show. I agree with the person who said Ed Kemper was the highlight of the show. He was genuinely unsettling.

It's not gonna live up to the standard set by those shows, at least for me. But go ahead and try it, it's popular for a reason I guess

The 88, the band that does the theme song had some amazing albums in the early 2000's. Highly recommended. There's also a full version of the Community theme out there.
