I’d like to know the source on “10-15 years ago most people didn’t watch over the air channel”

Do you know what cord cutting is? It’s not just cancelling tv for streaming.

A simple google search provided a multitude of articles discussing the popularity of ota tv.

You have a lot of “I” statements in your post as well. This tells me you don’t think much in terms outside of what you and you do or don’t do alone.

Watched episode 1. Many continuity issues and logical inconsistencies - pretty much right from the very start...

I'm going to watch ep 2, hoping it was just the pilot. I liked the concept and I'm keen to give it a go, but not if ep2 has the same problems as ep1

I wouldn't say that because I don't agree with what others say how the lyrics are sinister

The lyrics are entirely break-up but not even sad breakup. More like a goodbye, farewell xoxo

The suicide reference is entirely exaggerated for dramatic effect

Thing about this song is the lyrics are placeholder. It's the kind of vocal lines that belong in texture when singing, such that it lines up with feeling of the music.

Musically it's spot on , but I think most people find the song distracting. Even so , it grows on ya.

What was the question? Yes, it's kind of depressing.

I just think it's great to see someone actually talking about this show-- what an underrated season of TV. I guess I'd just say that camaraderie is such a huge theme that it's understandable that he would stay there, where his men are, even if they're no longer living. I don't think he would want to be rescued-- the survivor's guilt would be too much, the sense of abandoning the men. He's going down with the ship, just... slower.

Right?? Lol I first discovered the show years ago and literally never gave a second thought to the lyrics, if anything I thought the "one by one they all just fade away" line was in reference to the idea of *leaving* rather than staying--hence why I probably thought it was more upbeat than not. However, now knowing how Dan Harmon's style is, it's not surprising at all. It would actually be MORE unsettling to me if the song was, in fact, actually upbeat.
