Dan did go to a community college after being fired from the Sarah silverman show. He was at a low point and that experience with a study group for a class he didn't even care about helped him give him the idea to write the show. The song probably resonated him deeply at the time and kept the song in his back pocket. The Song is perfect reflection of failure and success with the high up beat melody and the drab lyrics.

It was an average show, no twists where surprising enough, I am not saying we need twist to be really good, but just dont add it because its a part of genre.

The fenale lead for some reason looked like a baby to me even though she is 29 years old, maybe its her height maybe its the dialogue's not sure.

A solid 6 in my radar, translated to "fair"

I felt like the horrible people in the first few seasons were although cartoonish, still recognizable as people you could meet. I'm from the UK, my sister graduated from Oxford and I don't think I've met anyone even remotely like the cast displayed here.

I love Charlotte Richie in Ghosts and Taskmaster, but she is awful here.

Agree. The mindset for some if it's not popular or have big ratings its not good is weird.

Enjoy the show and glad you have eps. My faves has been cancelled. I would gladly watch 6 eps if it came back.

The point of the scene in S2 wasn't whether or not it happened though. The point was that it did and it was bad but it was just covered up. It's basically much more noir-ish and i had no problem with it yet ironically leads to the biggest problem of the show - for most of the air time no one actually wants the case solved or are actively repressing attempts to solve it so the plot meanders on useless stuff leaving you with a general sense of confusion until the leads are like "fuck it" but then it comes apart for them quickly anyway and they end up losing horribly because the whole state infrastructure is just one corrupt festering temple. The way violence is handled towards the main characters in the second half is certainly not a typical thriller - 3/4 main characters die pointless, non-heroic deaths due to their pride, ego or honour and the last is forced into hiding as a vagrant with their life utterly ruined following being drugged and having to murder a man to avoid sexual assault and nothing changes at all. It's sloppy and pretty flabby around the edges with some weird dialogue but the structure itself is classic noir.
