Oh yea for sure. Duh. But I mean to not even send an email to neighbors “sorry for the fucking police raid at 5am where guns were drawn and the door was busted open. I mean I heard the entire thing. It was WILD. I told my wife to hit the floor because the cops had guns drawn and busted through the door. Found out later that dude had a gun too. It was honestly pretty traumatic.

“COME OUT PATRICE!!!! YOURE GONNA MAKE ME KILL YOU. I DONT WANT TO KILL YOU. COME OUT”.

A simple “we had a police incident last night sorry etc” would have been a nice touch. But no. Morse apartments never communicates. I overheard a cop last night talking with the front desk about another break in, in the parking garage. Apartment still hasn’t said anything. I checked my car myself because I just happened to overhear the cop tell the front desk.

I don’t know what to tell you. The museum is family friendly, that doesn’t mean it’s family oriented. This is family oriented, like story time at the library or a craft day at the zoo. They don’t want adults without kids to show up for a family-oriented event.

There’s really not another way to explain this. It’s pretty clear cut.

That happened to my roommate once in Brooklyn. Except they kicked down the door, tossed the room, stuck several guns in his face and then realized they were at the wrong address. At least they put an IOU post it note on the door they busted.

Def think they should be grilled but if the topic of the USAO and DC courts doesn’t come up then it’s pointless. More importantly, those with say in congress need to hammer out what changes they would like to see that will satisfy them as a lot of the RCCA is cleaning up language.

I don’t recall the details but I thought I just saw an article about the house budget proposes across the board cuts to the USAO offices. That is the opposite direction we need to be going.

The petworth library event page? It's at 7pm on Thursdays. I don't know if you have to register - you can always call to check with a librarian.

Not sure if other libraries do it - you'd have to search the DCPL website event page. If anyone is interested in organizing a second location, I bet a library would be willing to host. They are big on community events.

Whatever you think of these hearings, the fact is that the current council is trying to implement laws similar to those enacted by the extreme leftists running Seattle and Portland, once gem cities, now on par with third world countries. I’m a democrat and I say my party is sadly soft on crime and thinks giving the criminals hugs instead of jail time will make be nice to people.

A bunch of Frank Grimes folks in here mad that even though it is clearly an event for Children, OPBeat Their Brains Out and scored tickets without a kid. In all seriousness, I’ve been to this event once (with a child) and the eventual payoff is not at all worth the extreme awkwardness of standing in the long security lines, filled exclusively with families, without a kid.

I’m not even sure all these people giving hurrahs to the GOP actually live in or near the District. None of them have neighborhood flair. The top commenter has only been on Reddit for 24 days. The next commenter has a legit account but still spends an alarming amount of time defending Kanye West. He also makes right wing comments in other city subs.

I don’t think the comment section here is remotely representative of DC
