** But - while surely the Council can play some role in fixing those problems,** what has the council done to make you believe they don’t support this outcome?

** Similarly, it's a huge problem that our courts are understaffed and that USAO resources are stretched too thin to give local DC prosecutions adequate time and attention.** the last time anyone looked they had the largest budget by far of any federal court. And they aren’t saying they need more anywhere. Just you are.

Sad to see this happened to a person who has also witnessed a carjacking in NE and seen someone get shot in NW as well as having photographed the expired temp plate of someone who hit their car and ran all in the less than a year they've lived here. And now an attempted kidnapping?

Just unlucky, I guess. Rough year. If it weren't all definitely true I'd have trouble believing it.

Probably because when a person on a scooter gets run over, people blame being on a scooter rather than a car running them over. In our society it's expected that a car runs over people, but the blame is put on the person who rode the scooter because they should have known a car would run them over.

I didn't say he was rehabilitated, I don't even know him. Sorry for the confusion.

What I meant is that I can believe someone would be rehabilitated after years in jail, and I can believe others wouldn't. But after serving years in prison you've either learned your lesson or you haven't, and 11 more months wouldn't change it as you agreed.

And let's be real, sending people to prison isn't rehabilitative nor does it really protect the public when there is an endless number of crazy people out.
