I don’t see the word money in either of those articles.

Which makes me think you are being malicious or you are just not intellectually equipped for this conversation.

The nextdoor line seals it. Malicious. Posting a blue link that doesn’t discuss budget of the fed court in a fed court budget convo.

They are saying they need more resources, but maybe not on the Citizen app, Nextdoor, or OANN, which is probably why you missed it.

For any number of reasons, as well as for no reason at all.

Attention, lulz, genuinely delusional, exaggeration because they think they're directionally correct but it won't land unless they take it up to 11, not lying and simply being wrong, etc

I'm not saying it's impossible I'm just saying maybe take testimonies from Anon Doe with a grain of salt the same way you would with any given random bullshit you read online

thank you! That was my first try. I've redone my search every few months for the past couple of years. I wish I'd thought to reddit sooner. I know this is such a long shot but totally worth trying.

This thread is really showing how conservative the Democratic Party actually is. I know some of the people cheering this on have signs in their yard and pink hats in their closets.

The absolute freak out over the most basic criminal Justice reforms (that actually would bring us in line with other states) would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad.

Welcome fascist interference with your home city at your own risk is all I’m saying.

For solo dining, I personally love Daikaya's first-floor Ramen shop. You can sit inside if you want to potentially talk to people while sharing a table or sitting at the bar, or you can sit at a picnic table outside for a more personal experience. The ramen is freakin' delicious.

I don’t, unfortunately. The issue is that a lot of the city statistics focus on number of cases per capita, but DC has a smaller population in the city than most of the comparable cities, which makes the rate of trafficking look higher.

Speaking from personal experience, I’ve noticed that the most prevalent areas for trafficking in the U.S. are California (LA/SF), Florida (Miami/Orlando), New York (NYC), and Texas (Austin/Dallas)

“Having experienced traumatic events at city shelters, many unhoused people cannot stomach the idea of living in a group setting. Others no longer trust the D.C. government to provide safe shelter sites. And some can’t fathom life away from those who helped them survive in the encampment.”

I guess we should just legalize encampments indefinitely!

You can find a full list of options in the DC Afternoon Tea Directory on Destination Tea. Several hotels that had paused during the pandemic are offering afternoon tea again. Salamander DC, Waldorf Astoria and Fairmont Georgetown are some of the newer offerings. The Fairmont Georgetown is doing a Cherry Blossom Tea right now.

My car was blocked in. I was next to these clowns. No idea what they were doing. It was so amateur, it was almost another level of pathetic that I’ve never encountered. This younger generation has nothing to offer. They created a giant traffic jam all over the city and had no message. The kicker, the cops blocked the whole street so there was no one there to even see them.

RCN, Comcast, and Verizon all consider you a "new customer" after 2-3 years with no service.

Obviously it doesn't work for you since RCN is the only option in your building but for people with other options you can just cycle through each one every year or two to get the best deal.
