What is the point, then? I don't think it is a deterrent except in rare nonviolent cases, and it shouldn't be a form of revenge. I feel like protecting the public is the real reason jail/prison should exist. Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it.

At some point Id like to see express metro trains to the airport that merely slow down at intermediate metro stops. Say they depart from the easternmost station, stop at Cap South, LEnfant, Metro Center, Federal, Foggy B, et cetera. Just jump a few here and there and it could save another 20 mins easy.

Downtown DC to Dulles in 45 mins is the goal and is doable

They were extremely relevant to the conversation at hand, I asked how much experience you have in anti-trafficking work since you were denigrating my experiences as someone who works in the field. You quickly dismissed my points and told me that I don’t know how to raise awareness for trafficking, so I figured you must have some knowledge about trafficking awareness due to your willingness to criticize how I broach the topic

No place doing a kiddie happy hour anymore?

Wonderland Ballroom used to; as did the Reef (RIP, now Roofers Union). Johnny Pistolas upstairs. Grand Central, briefly (and, uh, they may not care to do this anymore).

Call a restaurant that you like that has a private room and ask if they would take a booking.

You can do bowling, but the kids are probably too small for that.

"In his testimony, Allen also reiterated his stance on combining policing with investments in services that improve District residents’ quality of life."

Yet since then he hasn't added a single penny to DBMH/DOH or any social services agency for mooted alternatives, funded anything that would deploy from OUC calls or set up an alternative to 911 MPD calls. Such a phony.

I’m not for the NFL owners stranglehold on the ownership market but I don’t see any differences in extremely wealthy people teaming up to buy a team and getting like a 1% stake in the organization just for clout. It’s not like the elite club goes away.

Some of the best teams in the NFL are owned by storied families like the Rooney Family, or have public interest at stake like the Packers.
